Panagbenga Festival is a month-long celebration in Baguio City. Celebrated annually every February, it means “season of blooming”. It is dedicated to the city’s flowers and as a symbol for the city’s rising from the Earthquake that devastated Luzon back in 1990.
Parade of floats decorated with flowers along with street dancers are scheduled to go around the city’s main road for everyone to witness and enjoy, making this month the best time to visit Baguio. This lively celebration is also a way to remind locals of their culture and tradition.
Baguio is peaked with tourists during this month.
During this month Session Road becomes filled with food stalls and shops. Bands are scheduled to perform at night, making it a great place to chill, hang out and eat with your friends.
Must-visit places during this festival are; Session Road, Burnham Park, SM City Mall Baguio and Athletic Bowl.
